Nohup among the 1000 fastest growing European companies
Nohup, an Italian cloud services and digital transformation company with high technological added value, is confirmed as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, recording a 172% increase in revenues.
This year it is in fact part of the prestigious FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies ranking of the Financial Times: the ranking of the fastest growing European companies made by the main economic newspaper in the United Kingdom, the Financial Times, and by Statista, a German company specialized in processing data. For the first time, Italy is the European country with the highest number of companies in the ranking.
Behind this result there is an independent company, born 17 years ago from the idea of two computer scientists. “The recognition honors us and pushes us to do better and better” – say the founders, Maria Aiello and Riccardo Fabbri – “There are not only numbers and balances in this result, but a history, our history as entrepreneurs, that of our team of talents and that of companies that have shown their trust in us by entrusting us with the creation and management of their digital projects. A responsibility, the latter, that we feel every day ”.
Nohup, which today has around 500 customers, is constantly looking for new specialized personnel and aims to hire at least 10 new specialists in the course of 2021.

For the recognition of the presence in the ranking, the evaluation was carried out on the revenues of the years 2016 and 2019 and the company staff, a sign that demonstrates how the ranking is not only focused on purely financial data but also on the work and social consequences related to doing business. A competition that is not simple which, therefore, in the face of a thousand places in the ranking, sees hundreds of thousands of companies from all over Europe evaluated.
The growth prospects of the company, founded in Friuli in 2004, are 25-30% per year also in the next period: important numbers.
Nohup, a partner of Google and Amazon among other things, keeps its Nerd soul in the name: nohup is a command of the Linux operating system that allows the continuation of the execution of a command even in case of disconnection of the terminal, a sort of invitation to resilience, as topical as ever.
