A new work has just been published edited by Francesco Pizzetti (in the photo), jurist and president of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data from 2005 to 2012.

The 544-page volume is published by Giappichelli, and is divided into three parts in which the revised Code is analyzed with the aim of placing it within the framework of the “multilevel” European personal data protection system, then retracing the formation of Legislative Decree 101 / 2018 and the reasons for the differences in legislative technique that characterize the Italian Privacy Code today, and also examining the general provisions and rules relating to the Guarantor Authority.

Finally, the book seeks to go beyond the GDPR and the Privacy Code to explore the relationship between data protection legislation, the EU’s commitment to digital competition and technological development linked to Big Data, Algorithms and Intelligence. Artificial.

In addition to Professor Pizzetti, the authors of the volume are Raffaele Bifulco, professor of constitutional law in the Department of Law at the LUISS “Guido Carli” University, the officials of the Guarantor Giuseppe D’Acquisto, Francesco Modafferi, Federica Resta, as well as Avv. Rocco Panetta, former director of the Authority from 2001 to 2008.

In addition to the best bookstores, the book is also for sale online on the Federprivacy website, where members of the association can purchase it with a discount reserved for them
