According to updated estimates, the sanctions imposed by the Privacy Guarantor in 2020 have already reached a total value of almost 60 million euros. Companies and professionals therefore increasingly need not only to comply with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679, but also to know the consequences of violations on personal data, both in terms of fines and potential compensation, what are the inspection powers of the Authority for the protection of personal data, and how it can exercise them.

As part of its institutional activities, Federprivacy has therefore organized an online training course on “Inspections, sanctions and compensation with the Gdpr“, In which the various rights of the interested party are examined, the characteristics of the inspection control in the light of the new community and national legislation, analyzing case studies and application criteria of administrative pecuniary sanctions and criminal offenses in force in our legal system.

The course lasts one day and will take place on Tuesday 19 January 2021 in online mode on the Zoom platform in live class. The lectures will be held by Dr. Claudio Filippi, Director of the Inspection and Sanctions Department of the Guarantor Authority, and Avv. Michele Iaselli, president of Andip (National Association of Privacy Defense) and Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of Federprivacy.
