The online seminar organized by Federprivacy and dedicated to the figure of the Data Protection Officer will take place on Friday 26 February 2021, attended by Avv. Guido Scorza, Member of the Board of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, Avv. Rocco Panetta, member of the Board of Directors of IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) and founder of the Panetta & Associati Law Firm, and Nicola Bernardi, President of Federprivacy, who will moderate the debate.
Almost three years after the introduction of the GDPR, the professionals who play the role of DPO have to face multiple challenges between the tasks assigned to them by the EU Regulation and the concrete operations that live in the daily life of companies and public administrations.
In fact, the regulatory framework dedicated to the regulation of the DPO presents numerous nodes that cannot be overlooked, such as those concerning the obligation and optional nature of the appointment, the types of contracts, outsourcing and public entities, positioning and organic functioning. . Furthermore, in the concrete operation of the DPO with respect to the main data protection institutes, particular attention must be paid to the principle of accountability, privacy by design, impact assessment, the management of data breach cases, the exercise of rights by the interested parties, and relations with the Control Authority and audit activities.
During the event (see poster) will be presented on new book “The Data Protection Officer between rules and practices” by Rocco Panetta, Tommaso Mauro, and Federico Sartore with a preface by Guido Scorza. (Ed. Giuffrè 2021)
